OUR STORY

For over two decades FAT Lighting has delivered quality lighting, grip, power, distribution and truck packages to the Film, Television and Events and Entertainment Industries across New Zealand and internationally. Our warehouse has the rental equipment and services for your project no matter the scale - a large international or your very first start in the industry. We have a genuine excitement for the products and services we provide.

The company was founded with its first international project - Superfire, and expanded with the acquisition of another local film lighting company in 2011. In 2018 it took a giant step forward responding to growing international demand and rapidly changing technology by heavily investing in new technology in sufficient quantity to meet international large scale demand. We understand that we must continue to invest to ensure we are providing the best solutions to our customers, and we do so.

Fast forward to today. Matt Suttle, with 20 years of international industry experience, is heading up operations and we have in our warehouse the quantity and quality of Film, TV and Production equipment that has always been the backbone of our business, with the latest very versatile sustainable LED lighting fixtures which are a staple around the world.
